    Volunteering is a great way to give back to our community! At Compassion Hospice we are always looking for volunteers to help with a number of activities, from baking to sitting with patients to help alleviate caregiver burnout to anything in between. Volunteers are a vital part of our program, encompassing our desire to give true, quality “care without compromise”.     Fall Bereavement Group Times

    We are continuing to offer bereavement support groups free to anyone who has recently suffered a loss or is having difficult coping from a prior loss. Led by a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, we try to meet you where you are in the grief process and to gain some insight into your grief issues.     Bereavement Support Group Change

    In an effort to better serve those who are in need of grief and bereavement support, we are changing our times and dates of our support groups. We understand that many of you have busy schedules and can often find it difficult to attend groups during the middle of the day. Therefore, we are going to offer our groups once a month during the lunch hour to better accomodate work schedules. Our new groups will meet the last Wednesday of each month from 12:00-1:00pm.     Grief and Bereavement Support Groups

    Compassion Hospice is offering grief and bereavement support groups to help anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one. The group is free to anyone in the community, your loved one did not have to be a patient at Compassion Hospice. We understand that loss and grief are experienced in a number of different ways and we want to be there for you, no matter where you are in your grief process. We will discuss issues such as feelings associated with the loss, loss of role, types of grief, and answer any questions that you may regarding your own grief process.
