Volunteers Welcome!!!
Volunteering is a great way to give back to our community! At Compassion Hospice we are always looking for volunteers to help with a number of activities, from baking to sitting with patients to help alleviate caregiver burnout to anything in between. Volunteers are a vital part of our program, encompassing our desire to give true, quality “care without compromise”. If you have a special talent or skill, or would just like to be a kind presence to one of our patients, we have a place for you on our team! Bereavement Groups – 2012
We at Compassion Hospice know what it’s like to experience the pain associated with the loss of a loved one. Our goal is to meet you where you are in your grief process. Whether it’s a recent loss or one that happened many years ago, we want you to know that you are not alone. FREE and OPEN to the public, our groups are led by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Professional Counselor, both with many years of grief counseling experience. Fall Bereavement Group Times
We are continuing to offer bereavement support groups free to anyone who has recently suffered a loss or is having difficult coping from a prior loss. Led by a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, we try to meet you where you are in the grief process and to gain some insight into your grief issues. Bereavement Support Group Change
In an effort to better serve those who are in need of grief and bereavement support, we are changing our times and dates of our support groups. We understand that many of you have busy schedules and can often find it difficult to attend groups during the middle of the day. Therefore, we are going to offer our groups once a month during the lunch hour to better accomodate work schedules. Our new groups will meet the last Wednesday of each month from 12:00-1:00pm. Volunteers
We are always looking for volunteers to help with various duties at Compassion Hospice. Being a volunteer means that you give of your time in order to help others in need. Volunteer activities range from sitting with patients for shorts amount of time to allow the caregiver to have a break, making things such as baked goods or sewing, offering to clean the home of some of our patients who may need additional assistance with day to day chores with the help of a company like these medical office cleaning services, answering phones, or simply helping with fundraisers and other community activities, while a few others are donating items like clothes and sanitary…
