    “Au nom du Président de la République, nous vous remettons les insignes de chevalier de l’ordre de la Légion d’Honneur” And with that we were honored to observe one of our greatest generation receive France’s highest honor in a ceremony with French Consul General Alexis Andres this afternoon in Beaumont. The “Chevalier of the Order of the Legion of Honor” – is the French equivalent of the Medal of Honor, given for bravery in fighting for France (and for Americans fighting on French soil).     At Compassion Hospice, we honor all veterans – I had the extreme honor of meeting one of our local Army Veterans of the Vietnam War just this afternoon and saying thank you for your service . Times have changed, they didn’t come home with the respect and gratitude we try to show today. Below is a moving video from the people at moments.org.
